Julie Hanes began baking in her grandmother’s kitchen at the age of 5. Hundreds of Christmas cookies, pies and doughnuts soon led to her love of cakes. By the age of 14, Julie took her first cake decorating course. After many years of Home Economics and a lot of determination, she won a scholarship to Johnson & Wales University.
Julie attended Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC from 1995-1997 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Baking & Pastry Arts. After working at the Inn at Perry Cabin, Salisbury University, and other local bakeries, Julie decided to start on her own in April 2005.
Julie is located in Easton, right in the heart of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She bakes cakes and specialty desserts for a variety of occasions. From the most elegant of wedding cakes, right down to a birthday cake for a dog, she has done it all. Julie frequently delivers to the Chesapeake Bay Hyatt in Cambridge, The Oaks, in Royal Oak, and Harbourtowne Resort in St. Michaels.
